# AI Interrupts Me

> Understand why the AI cuts you off and how to reduce it

If the AI cuts you off before you finish speaking, it's a known limitation of conversational AI called **end-of-utterance detection**. The AI is trying to predict when you're done speaking — and sometimes a brief pause or a certain speech rhythm causes it to jump in early.

This is an industry-wide challenge, not specific to Exec.

## What You Can Do

* **Keep talking through it** — if the AI interrupts, continue speaking and it will adjust
* **Minimize mid-sentence pauses** — extended silences can signal to the AI that your turn is over
* **Use headphones** — reduces audio feedback that can sometimes trigger premature responses
* **Reach out to your Exec contact** — the team can sometimes adjust session settings to reduce interruption frequency

## Best Practices

* **Treat interruptions as part of practice** — managing interruptions is itself a real-world communication skill
* **End with a clear cue** — finishing with a definitive phrase or a drop in tone helps signal when you're done speaking
* **Share feedback** — if interruptions are significantly affecting your experience, let your Exec contact know
